london marathon 2010

Hi all
Got a gold bond place with cancer research for this year, started doing a bit of running, have,nt run for 20 years at least, did 7 miles on sunday without stopping and its fairly hilly round here (gestingthorpe), printed off the runners world 14 week programme and need to do a 1/2 marathon fairly soon can anybody help.
Put myself down for a 5 hour finish for the full marathon, anyone run around these parts, find it a bit dangerous as we have no pavements or streetlights was thinking of driving into Sudbury and parking up and running to melford and back, all help or advice gratefully received
Andy

Hello Andy,

You are welcome to come and join us in Halstead on the Wednesday Club nights. We meet at 1945 hours Courtauld Sports Ground, Colchester Road, Halstead. We have a full training programme all year round.

There are no obligations to join, just come along a couple of times and see if you enjoy it. We can then also put you in touch with runners local to you.

As a Club we also organise a London Marathon coach every year.

Thanks and regards,

Matthew

I am not really a big running fan until recently. I met two Kenyan friends, Titus and Carson, who are exchange students. I learned a lot from them about Kenyan runners and the Olympics. They are so excited and I am too. How I wish I can go to London but I am very busy with my writing here at pedometer reviews.
