Halstead Road Runner and Marathon specialist Andy Wilmot completed the off-road White Peak Marathon in Matlock, Derbyshire. In very warm conditions Andy stopped the clock in 4:11.

Wayne Kern, Keith Thorogood and Gavin Allen completed the Edmund Carr Great Baddow 10 Mile Race. The weather was extremely hot with no breeze which made running conditions extremely difficult with many of the runners struggling with the heat.

Alongside this race was a 2 mile run which boasted a field of over 850 competitors. With many adults and serious junior athletes up to 7 years older than our young squad Halstead juniors Luke Allen, Callum Tricker and Natasha Hill all ran well. Nine year old Luke Allen powered around the course finishing in an incredible 7th position only just missing out on the 1st Under 12 prize.
